Steezecaster
Keeping this one short – I’ve already put it off for two years.
The Steezecaster is my second DIY guitar project, born from the lessons learned and stoke gained during the build that eventually sparked the creation of this site.
This time, I had three simple goals:
Design my own guitar body shape
Craft an instrument I actually wanna play
F*ck up less
First Build
Umme Skate or Don’t
The Inspiration
Fender Mexican Standard Telecaster
I’m not a commercial luthier – I just really dig the craft. My first build turned out better than expected, but honestly? I barely enjoy playing it. It just doesn’t feel right in my hands.
So, I took the easy route – grabbed the core parts of a trusty Fender Tele and made it Steezy.
Check out the image gallery below, for a visual tour of the build process!
With my humblest apologies to all guitar virtuosos and mixing geniuses. I’m just the alone-in-my-room kind of guitarist.
